Airline Pilot Detours to Give Passengers View of Volcano

An Icelandair pilot recently gave passengers a trip they are unlikely to ever forget!

CNN says the pilot looped around a volcano that was erupting to give passengers a better view. Typically volcanoes erupting cause planes to be grounded. However this time the pilot decided to play tour guide and the detour over the smoke and lava-spewing Bardarbunga volcano was captured on camera by one passenger and the image was later posted on Twitter by the airline. Wow!
