Yard Sale in Flushing Raises Money for Grieving Families

It's yard/garage sale season, but this one has a deeper meaning.

Flushing resident Sarah Curtis started Rebecca's Reason back in 2015 after the death of her daughter, who passed away 12 hours after birth. Sarah said that, in addition to grieving the loss of their daughter, they had to spend a year paying off her medical bills.

She said that she wouldn't want anybody else to have to go through this, and that's why she champions this cause. 100% of the proceeds goes to the charity, and they don't just do yard sales - they've done bowling fundraisers, pop can collections, etc. The money has helped families in 26 different states.
