A photo of a restaurant receipt with the words, "Single Mom Sorry" written on the tip line has gotten a lot of attention since it was posted on Reddit.

The bill, which was for $138.35, indicates that a rather significant meal was consumed, and the scribbled "Thank you, it was great" implies that the food and service were fine.

But the Reddit caption nails it:

"I'm sure $140 could have gotten you and your kids a week worth of groceries, but instead you spend it one one meal?! For shame!"
