They say it's a small world, and for a short time the United States was downsized by half a state as White House map makers eliminated Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The map, indicating which states have expanded Medicaid coverage to low-income residents, has since been updated to include Michigan's more-scenic peninsula.

The discovery was made by Congressman Dan Benishek, a lifelong Yooper, who posted the White House fail on his Facebook page.
