I've heard of friendly natives, but what's going on with all the rabbits? Find out...with amazing footage!

Okunoshima Island is a small island located in the Inland Sea of Japan that became infamous as a place where Japanese scientists could develop and test chemical weapons during World War II.

Some say that rabbits were brought to the island as test subjects for the affects of mustard gas, and were later set free by the factory workers. Others say that elementary school children let eight bunnies loose on the island in 1971. At any rate, you know what they say about rabbits! Today, the offspring of those early rabbits number in the hundreds, and they flock to the tourists who come to feed and cuddle and hold them. Imagine the photo opportunities!

The island is now known as "Rabbit Island", and it's a very accessible and popular tourist attraction.

The video below, has taken the world by storm.

Share your thoughts. Would you find all of those friendly bunnies charming, or would you be a bit freaked out.

I have to say that the video reminds me of Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds."
