Lucky Michigan Player Just Bought a $1M Mega Millions Ticket
Tuesday was election day in Michigan but it was also a very lucky day for one Michigan Lottery player who purchased a $1 million winning Mega Millions ticket.
The player matched all five white balls in the drawing held on November 5. Those numbers were 2, 24, 25, 52, and 58. However, the player did match the gold Mega Ball which was 9.
Who Bought the $1 Million Winning Mega Millions Ticket?
The winning $1 million ticket was sold at the Wayne Med Mart located on Wayne Rd. in Westland, according to Mlive. The person who purchased the ticket has yet to be identified.

According to Michigan Lottery officials. an additional $1 million winning ticket - also matching all five white balls - was sold in California. No player matched all five white balls and the gold Mega Ball, meaning no one won the $303 million jackpot. That propels the jackpot this Friday (11/8) to an estimated $334 million.
Tuesday's winning player has one year from the date of the drawing to come forward and claim their prize.
Big Lottery Winners in Michigan
At the beginning of this year, a very lucky winner purchased a Powerball ticket worth just over $842 million to become the largest jackpot winner in Michigan history. That ticket was purchased at the Food Castle in Grand Blanc. After about six months, an attorney came forward, representing 'The Breakfast Club,' a lottery club formed to accept the winning prize.
In my opinion, Michigan law is rather antiquated, in that it requires winners of multi-state game jackpots to come forward and be identified. A loophole allows one person from a lottery club to be identified while all other parties remain anonymous. In the case of 'The Breakfast Club' an attorney received a fee to be the club's publicly-identified spokesperson.
