Detroit TV Station’s Mistake Honors Someone Who is Definitely Not Nelson Mandela [VIDEO]
During its Thursday night newscast, Detroit TV station WDIV discussed the passing of Nelson Mandela, but paid tribute by putting up a graphic at the bottom of the screen picturing someone who is definitely not the famed African leader. Instead, 'Local 4' put up a picture of -- Alex Rodriguez. (see below)
Although the New York Yankees Third Baseman will always have a place in history, he definitely will not be remembered for his fight against apartheid and racism.
The snafu happened just a few weeks after 'Local 4' reporter Lauren Podell dropped an F-Bomb during a live broadcast from Lapeer. Seriously, are the wheels coming off the bus at WDIV-TV?
