Walmart Shoplifter Throws a Fit After Getting Caught in the Act
Stay classy, Walmart shoppers!
Police in Bradenton, Florida arrested a woman last Wednesday after she went loco when a store official stopped her while she tried to leave with a cart of goods she hadn’t purchased.
When initially confronted, 22-year-old Myra Mays tried to hit an employee with a bar stool she had stuffed into her cart. She then knocked over a display of gas grills, which caused over $1,000 in damage.
That was the undercard performance of the night, though, because Mays took her act to the parking lot, where she really hit her stride. She’s accused of turning over shopping carts, as well as smashing them into parked cars.
Mays also allegedly spit on Walmart employees and punched them, while also tossing a cell phone at a police officer.
It took three cops to place Mays in handcuffs, but they probably needed more. She managed to free herself while in the squad car and had to be placed in more restrictive cuffs, as well as leg restraints.
Police also say they found marijuana in her pocketbook. Mays claims she had swallowed an unspecified type of pill before she went all Hulk on everyone, so she was taken to a hospital.
