It has not been a good year for cruise lines. With ships being sent back to port for illnesses month after month it leaves you asking "what's next?" Well, you may have spoken too soon on that one.

The Carnival Glory crashed into the Carnival Legend while positioning  to dock in Cozumel, Mexico Friday morning. Six individuals were injured in the crash that was caught on video by numerous passengers and  bystanders.

The crash happened when the Carnival Glory cruise ship was “maneuvering to dock” in Cozumel, an island off the Caribbean coast of Mexico. The ship struck the Carnival Legend, which was already docked according to a spokeswoman for the cruise line, Chelsea Stromfeld in a released email. Her statement went on to say that six passengers sustained “minor injuries,” including one who was hurt while a group of guests were evacuating a dining room on Decks 3 and 4.

Social media was immediately flooded with recaps from several passengers on those ships and the nearby Oasis of the Seas, which the Glory appeared to also come  uncomfortably close to, posting videos and photos of the incident and the aftermath.

As for the condition of the ships themselves, Carnival Cruise Line spokesman Vance Gulliksen noted in a email release, “We are assessing the damage, but there are no issues that impact the seaworthiness of either ship. We have advised guests from both ships to enjoy their day ashore in Cozumel.” Anyone cruising soon?
