VH1 Rebooting ‘Pop Up Video’
And now for a healthy dose of nostalgia: According to the Hollywood Reporter, Vh1 is rebooting its popular series 'Pop Up Video' after a 10-year hiatus.
The network has ordered 60 brand-new episodes of the series, which will remain faithful to the original series, according to 'Pop Up Video' co-creator, Woody Thompson. The reboot will also add two new genres, rap and hip-hop, which were previously passed over "because it was the domain of sister network MTV."
Premiering in 1996, 'Pop Up Video' is a series that plays facts, ranging from informative to silly, over its corresponding music video.
No word yet on when the much-anticipated reboot will premiere. In the meantime, check out a few classic 'Pop Up Video' episodes.
