England has gone wild with the breaking news that Prince William and Duchess Kate are expecting their first child. The happy announcement came just minutes ago from St. James Palace. There is some concern, however, because Kate has been hospitalized with a severe form of morning sickness. The 30 year-old Duchess is expected to be in the hospital for several days, and will then be on bed rest for an undisclosed period of time. This morning's announcement did not offer a due date. The palace would only say that Kate is in the "very early" stage of her pregnancy.

The first child born to Prince William and Duchess Kate will be next in line to inherit the British throne behind the prince, even if it's a daughter confirmed Cabinet Office officials.

The Prime Minister of England, David Cameron, commented on Twitter that "he is delighted with the news." and that the young royal couple "will make wonderful parents."
