A little girl in Colorado couldn't wait for her dad to be "dismissed" so she could give him a hug.

Daniel Oglesby, who was deployed to southwest Asia for the last eight months, said, "She was excited. She spotted me from a couple rows back and she couldn’t contain herself. I wasn’t gonna tell her no."

It was a bittersweet day for three hundred soldiers from Fort Carson's 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division in Colorado. Normally, they stand in formation until they are "dismissed" by their commanding officer. But Oglesby couldn't turn away his little girl, who had grown quite a bit since he left.

"Being gone for eight months--it's tough. But once you see the look on their faces when you get back makes it worth it."
