The Good News: Abused Puppy and his New Friend are Viral Stars on Facebook [VIDEO]
Sammie and his new friend Simon are taking over the internet, even though it's under sad circumstances.
Sammie the puppy was found on the side of the road, after being shot in the head and dragged by a car in South Carolina.
Hang on, this is good news, I promise.
Paws and Claws vet tech Nikki Jones said that he was in "good spirits, in a sense. He was wagging his tail, but he had barely any energy. He could barely even lift his head, you know, to give us a kiss."
Sammie is healing well, and he's made a new friend named Simon. "Simon heard him crying in there and his ears perked up,” Jones said, “and he came in and just very gently jumped up on the X-ray table with his one paw and was kind of like, 'Hey, bud. What's wrong? Don't worry. These guys got ya."
