TBT: Who Originally Recorded Animotion’s ‘Obsession’ [VIDEOS]

Releases in November of 1984, 'Obsession' was a massive his for the synth pop group Animotion. Reaching numbers five and six in the U.K. and U.S. respectively, 'Obsession' would become the group's biggest hit.

But they weren't the original artist for the smash hit. It was originally written and recorded in 1983 by Holly Knight and Michael Des Barres. Their original version was used in the films 'A Night In Heaven" and '9 1/2 Weeks'. Check out the original 'Obsession'! What do you like better?
