
Brother’s Ticket Tip Leads to $1M Michigan Lottery Payday
An Oakland County man says he feels like “a weight has been lifted from his chest” after winning a $1 million prize from the Michigan Lottery.
Michigan Player Gives Credit to His Brother
The 30-year-old credits his brother for introducing him to the Super Raffle — a suggestion that ended up turning an ordinary lottery ticket into a $1 million jackpot.
“My brother told me about the Super Raffle game, so I asked him to buy me a ticket when he went to get one for himself, and I ended up getting lucky,” the player said. “When I saw my raffle ticket was a $1 million winner, I couldn’t believe it. I had to check it several times before it started to sink in that I really won. I feel stress-free and like a weight has been lifted from my chest.”
Saving the Money for a Rainy Day
The player, who has chosen to remain anonymous, tells the Michigan Lottery that he purchased the winning ticket for the Nov. 19 drawing at Kakoz 2 LLC in Sterling Heights. He added that he plans to save his winnings.
