Students at U of M-Flint Use Spring Break to Give Back – The Good News
Instead of taking a week off, they're using it as a week "on."
Students at U of M-Flint are volunteering their time at Carriage Town Ministries over spring break, instead of heading south to drink and get a tan.
And this isn't the first time - the University's Outreach Office has organized this program six years in a row.
Yesterday, they made a thousand sandwiches at Carriage Town. They're also working with Blue Line Donuts to build a playground. The students' goal is to stay involved with the community instead of just doing one day of service every once in a while.
