Some Michigan Meijer Stores Eliminating Double Coupons [VIDEO]

Ouch! This could cut into the grocery bill a bit. How does this affect shoppers here in the Flint area? The Meijer Corp. explains.A Meijer representative said eliminating "double coupons" will allow the company to lower prices, which will help all consumers. They also want to focus on their internet "mperks" program, including digital coupons which can be used in conjunction with those from manufacturers. Policy varies from region to region among the nearly 200 Meijer stores in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Illinois.

Not all Meijer Super Centers are abandoning double coupons. All Flint regional stores, which include Saginaw, Bay City and Midland will still allow double coupons up to fifty cents.No official word on whether more stores will change their policies in the future. More details below.
