Siren’s Curse: Cedar Point Announces New Rollercoaster for 2025 [VIDEO]
Although 2024 was a cursed season for Cedar Point, the amusement park has unveiled a plan to open a new roller coaster next year, and it's appropriately named 'Siren's Curse.'
Cedar Point Announces Record-Breaking Coaster
Cedar Point just announced plans to build what it calls "the tallest, fastest, and longest tilt coaster in North America."
According to a press release from the park, 'Siren's Curse' is a nod to the legend of mysterious creatures living beneath the surface of Lake Erie. The ride features 13 weightless airtime moments designed to give guests the feeling that they're being pulled underwater.
"The sirens of the lake who lured sailors to their underwater demise with their sweet, seductive songs will finally rise to land and attempt to entrap guests in a sinister two-minute fate of non-stop roller coaster innovation."

Cedar Point Closes Two Rides in 2024
Plagued by problems, 2024 was a tumultuous season for the park known as 'America's Roller Coast.'
After months of hype, Top Thrill 2 made its debut in late April, billed as the world's tallest and fastest triple-launch strata coaster. Just days after its opening, however, the ride was shut down in order for its manufacturer to make mechanical modifications to the ride's vehicles. Top Thrill 2 was sidelined for the remainder of the 2024 season and is expected to reopen next year.
Cedar Point also announced that Snake River Falls would be shut down at the conclusion of the 2024 season. The ride - a fan favorite for 31 years - closed on September 2, in order to make room for a future expansion.
