San Jose Sharks forward Evander Kane owes a Las Vegas Casino a hefty sum of money.

In October, I took my first trip ever to Las Vegas. It really was a sight that I won't forget and I plan on another trip in December. In the short three days I was there I spent a decent amount on the tables and at the slot machines, but nowhere near $500,000. I know it is very easy to get caught up in the lights and the excitement of it all, but damn, $500K?

Evander Kane, of the San Jose Sharks, had a little bit of downtime during the playoffs last year. Between his games in the series against the Las Vegas Knights, Kane made his way over to The Cosmopolitan Casino and is now being sued for the debt that he accumulated. Apparently his luck at the tables was nonexistent and he ended up using eight different markers for different amounts. The amounts ranged from $20,000 to $100,000 leaving him $500,000 in debt to the casino. That is a rough losing streak.

To top it all off, he has lost out on $112,000 in pay this season for a three-game suspension. Even though that is over a half of a million lost, he currently has a seven-year, $49 million contract with the San Jose Sharks. I think he will be okay.
