See Pics & Video from Saturday’s ‘Illuminate’ Walk in Flint
A pretty incredible turnout for the first year of the event!
Saturday night was a beautiful evening for the first-annual Illuminate walk starting at Brush Park in downtown Flint. It was hosted by NAMI of Genesee County (National Alliance on Mental Illness) and was meant to be part of Suicide Awareness Month.
The walk had five different interactive stops: a rock stop, a mindfulness stop, an art stop, a slime stop and a veteran's stop. Big thanks to the Flint PD, who stopped by to contribute their 22 push-ups.
Thanks again to everybody who came out! We can't DO anything about mental illness if we don't ACT, and that's what Saturday was for. You all made it possible.
