Schools In Illinois May Charge Students For Bus Rides

As schools in Illinois struggle financially they are actually considering charging kids for bus rides to school. State funding for student transportation was cut by 42% so the district is doing what they can to make up for the loss.

Parents aren't happy with this potential charge, but the alternative would be to stop school busing all together. Either way those without transportation wouldn't be able to get their kids to school so then they have to figure out how to get their kids to school.
