Santa might be bringing himself an air conditioner and sunscreen for Christmas after shopping in California this holiday season. While most of America has been in a deep freeze, or digging out from mountains of snow, Christmas shoppers in California are trying to beat the heat. Record highs were recorded yesterday in the Los Angeles area. It was 87 on the UCLA campus. In Long Beach, the same high of 87 shattered the record of 80 set in 1998. More high temps are expected today. But the National Weather Service says SoCal will cool off tomorrow.
