Remember Those Savings Bonds We Got as Kids?
If you're like me and you have NO IDEA what happened to them, you might be in luck.
If there's one thing I remember from my childhood, it's SAVINGS BONDS. I got one from my grandparents every year for my birthday. The other day, it occurred to me that I have never seen ANY of them - where are they? I'd ask my mom but she died last March. The problem is, I know they're out there...but where?
Never fear - there's a website for that. It's run by the government, so let's take this with a grain of salt.
Click HERE to download the form, fill it out to the best of your ability (frankly, I'm just putting my name in and the year I was born to present) and send it to Treasury Retail Securities in Minneapolis (address is at the end of the form).
Good luck and God speed - I'll let you know if I get something in return. If not, rest assured I'll complain about it.
