The toys were handed out to over 100 families at his alma mater, Genesee High School, on Wednesday.

In another classy move to pay homage to his hometown, Detroit Pistons owner Tom Gores was held an event at the high school to hand out toys to local families. He donated $250,000 to Toys for Tots that was split between Flint and Detroit.

This isn't the first (or even second) time that Gores has kept his hometown in mind - he also started FlintNOW last year, which was a $10 million private sector organization to help with the Flint water crisis.

Always amazing to see people staying true to their roots and donating some of their time and money. Thanks again, Tom!
