If Joe Abbott had done this 24 hours ago, he would have had unseasonably warm weather to collect toys and financial donations for Toys For Tots. Instead, he and his helpers are doing all they can to stay warm during his 7th annual toy collection effort. He plans to stay outside from 9 pm to 9 am in front of Little Joe's bar and restaurant in Grand Blanc.

This Saturday (November 5th) from 1-7 pm you will get free admission with the donation of either: 2 non-perishable food items, a new unwrapped toy or a new or gently used coat.
The "Marines Taking Care of Kids" organization might find itself without a home, and that could mean more challenges for the "Toys for Tots" program that needs the space to store toys for the holiday. "Toys for Tots" gets free office and storage space from the Marines, and although they work hand in hand, they don't share finances.
