Penguin Exhibit at Detroit Zoo Will Close for 9 Months for Repairs
Luckily, it will still be open this summer.
The Polk Penguin Conservation Center will close in September for at least nine months this winter and next spring for waterproofing repairs. Because that's, you know, kind of important for an exhibit that's 33,000 square feet and mostly water.
The Detroit Zoo plans on closing the exhibit on September 9th and reopening next June. The penguins will live in their former exhibit during this time; however, they won't be on display for public viewing.
AJ worked at a zoo for eight years and she already said that she could see season-pass holders being upset about this. What do YOU think?
