Open Your Wallet to a Worthy Cause This Giving Tuesday

The days immediately following Thanksgiving are usually dedicated to shopping and  opening our wallets for ourselves and loved ones, but today, consider giving to a local nonprofit.

Giving Tuesday was founded in 2012 to encourage people to do good, whether it's with their time, voice or, of course, money. Since its conception it have grown into a global movement. According to GivingTuesday.org there are more than 200 community campaigns being organized around the country alone.

Cars108 is proud to be part of Giving Tuesday by helping raise funds for the Children's Miracle Network- Hurley Children's Hospital.  As the regions only Level III NICU, Hurley cares for the premature infants born in the area as well as surrounding counties. They also provide specialty service for injured and ill children needing all levels of care. Hurley works miracles and they need your help.

I myself experienced the incredible care that Hurley provides when my youngest was admitted on her 2nd birthday to the pediatric unit with a serious infection. The caring staff comforted my child and made sure to make her feel special on her birthday with a cake and gift. They even sang to her! The love she was shown along with the expert care made the 5 days in the hospital bearable.

So today,  take the time to donate to the Children's Miracle Network-Hurley Children's Hospital or any non-profit that is near and dear to your heart.  Today is the day to give back and make a difference. Every dollar helps.
