Sounds like somebody had a GREAT time deer hunting earlier this month!

Midland County Sheriff Scott Stephenson was arrested in Kalkaska County on November 16th. He said that he had been drinking and got in his car to drive "a short distance" to find a spot where he could use his cell phone.

Now let's be fair - he pulled over when he realized that he was drunk and called somebody to pick him up, and a passerby called the police to report a car on the side of the road. He wasn't behind the wheel but if police think a person is inebriated, they can arrest them.

Charges have not yet been filed, but Stephenson says that he takes responsibility and will plead guilty.

Are we the only ones who feel bad for the guy? He made a mistake and tried to correct it before he hurt somebody. Nobody's perfect, right? He's a *gasp* human being!
