Can we talk about how they give the dog a red carpet? LOVE IT!

Guest Elementary School in Walled Lake is the first school in Oakland County to permanently own a therapy dog, and they gave him the celebrity treatment when she arrived on Tuesday.

Her name is Champ. She's 11-months-old and has been in training to be a therapy animal since she was seven-weeks-old.

Monica House, the school's special education teacher, was the first to set things in motion. She says that students have so many needs, from emotional to cognitive to physical, and Champ will be there to provide all the support. One of the school's third graders even said that Champ sits next to her and helps her to read.

Good girl!
