It's another sign of our troubled economic times. The population of the Flint area continues to shrink and so does the disposable income of those who remain. Fewer people with fewer dollars means fewer bowlers. Jim and Sara Teuber, owners of Nightingale, B's Bowling and Richfield Bowl found themselves having to make a difficult decision.
With all three of their bowling centers located in and around the east side of Flint, the decision was made to close the oldest establishment and consolidate the leagues and programs from Nightingale with those at the other two bowling centers. So far, all but two leagues have been relocated. The Davison Road bowling center joins Eastown, Dort Bowl, Northwest Bowl, Skyway, Westlanes and Panorama Lanes as Flint-area bowling centers that now only exist in old keglers' memories.
