And in another edition of, "There's something you don't see everyday..."

...the Diocese of Saginaw is about to get a new bishop, and you may see him riding a motorcycle.

Bishop Robert Gruss will be installed during a mass on Friday at Holy Spirit Church.

Before he was ordained, he was a pilot who flew private charter planes and was (and still is) a Harley owner. He served in South Dakota before coming to Michigan.

Regarding the recent allegations against the Catholic church (an inevitable question, of course), Bishop Gruss says that he wants the Saginaw diocese to be the "safest place in the country" for kids.

He went into the priesthood at the age of 39 with a desire to serve. Welcome to Michigan, Bishop Gruss! Hope you find a good place to store your hog during the winter!
