The power of social media AND good neighbors comes together!

Anne Glancey, a retired school teacher, received a letter from city officials, saying that she could be fined $3,000 if she didn't make repairs to her home (which she's lived in since she was a child). She knew that she couldn't make the repairs herself, so she showed her neighbors the letter. Adam and Kristin Polhemus decided to put out a public call for help in Hamilton Township, New Jersey.

Over 25 people showed up with their own supplies to paint the exterior, fix the porch, landscape the lawn and remove an old car from the driveway. A local Chick-Fil-A donated food to the volunteers as well. City officials have said that, since the repairs have been made, the fine will be waived.

Wouldn't it be nice if we could ALL have neighbors like that?
