Muskegon High School Students Built A House – The Good News [VIDEO]
That's an accomplishment that most people will NEVER achieve, and certainly not in high school.
Students from Muskegon Area Career Tech Center's Construction Trades debuted their brand new home, which meets EnergyStar standards, on Thursday, May 31st.
This is the eleventh home that the program has built in the Chestnut Trail neighborhood in Muskegon Township. The program is open to juniors and seniors in the area, and they start working on the houses in the beginning of the school year for 2 1/2 hours per day.
In fact, many of the students involved in the program have gotten jobs immediately out of high school because of it.
Proceeds from the home sales go to help the program build the next home(s).
Congrats, students! What a gorgeous house and an invaluable skill to have!
