Passengers traveling via Detroit Metro Airport experienced some pretty major turbulence yesterday, but they were on the ground the whole time. Two separate incidents in one day, a security breach and a jet collision grounded several flights and caused chaos throughout the afternoon at Michigan's largest airport.

It all started when a Chicago-bound jet slammed into the side of the McNamara Terminal. The left tail wing of Endeavor Air Flight 3443 was damaged in the collision. There are a lot of questions following the collision of the plane, owned by a subsidiary of Delta. You can see more on that in the video below.

A separate incident at good ol' DTW yesterday grounded several flights. A man breached security when he tried to enter a gate near the Westin Hotel, which connects to the McNamara Terminal. Flights were held until police dogs searched the entire area.

We are being told that it's business as usual in the McNamara Terminal this morning, with no backups aside from the expected weather-related delays.
