Mother Nature Slams Flint, Mid-Michigan With Record-Breaking Cold
This weekend has been brutally cold, and it certainly shows that in the record books across Mid-Michigan. Are you ready for some shocking numbers?
In addition to being under a wind chill advisory until 11am Monday morning, Flint broke the previous record low of -7 set in 1943 by 5 degrees. That's right, it was -12 this morning here in Genesee County! It was even colder in Lapeer and the Tri-Cities at -13, breaking their record lows of -7 in 1943 and -12 in 1905, respectively.
According to the National Weather Service, Detroit, at -9 this morning, was just one degree shy of the record low of -10 set back in 1875.
What did you do to stay warm this weekend?
