Midland Police Rescue a Red-Tailed Hawk

That bird KNEW that he should pose for this picture.

Over the weekend, the Midland Police Department posted on Facebook about a little birdie that was seen sitting on the side of the road off US-10. Passersby saw it and called 911.

Officer Krauss responded to the call, and realized that the hawk had injuries that prevented it from flying. He was able to safely transport the hawk to the Animal Medical Center in Midland, where veterinarians are treating it and hope to release it back in to the wild soon.

Must be a nice change from the normal, everyday calls the police get!
