I've always wanted to skydive but never really had the guts. There's just something about jumping out of a plane at 14,000 feet that scares the crap out of me. Now, I can do the next best thing as Michigan’s first indoor skydiving complex is set to open later this month in Novi.

iFLY World is an indoor skydiving complex that allows people ages 3 and up to feel the power and thrill of flying. This is as close to skydiving as your going to get without actually throwing yourself out of a plane.

This is something that you can do with the entire family, do it as a team-building event, or just bust out and go solo. Their instructors will teach you the basics and eventually, you'll learn how to do all kinds of killer tricks and maneuvers.

When does iFLY in Michigan open?

iFLY is set to open on Saturday, July 24th in Novi.

Bob Ash, GM of iFLY Detroit:

As the first iFLY to open in Michigan, this facility is the most innovative tunnel in the world and will attract the novice, as well as very accomplished flyers. We fully anticipate people from around the world will come to Detroit to experience the Gen 9 technology which makes this an exemplary tunnel.

Where in Novi is iFLY Located?

iFLY (Detroit) is located at 26975 Adell Center Drive in Novi. Not a bad drive from Flint, it's roughly only 45 minutes away.

How much does it cost?

From what I saw, packages are really affordable and start at about $65. It really just depends on the number of flyers and how many flights you want to do.

This looks like an absolute riot and I can't wait to book my first flight.
