They practically Smiled For the Camera

The incident took place during the National Cherry Festival celebration in July. Michigan State Police officers provided security for the annual event and hosted a booth to recruit anyone who may have been interested in a career in law enforcement.

During the early morning hours of July 4, two women went to the officers' unmanned booth and stole the tent that belonged to the Michigan State Police.

During the brazen act, the women practically smiled at the security camera. You can watch the footage from the surveillance camera below.

Who Were Those Women?

Michigan State Police officers released the video of the incident and put out a call to the public for help identifying the two culprits.

The women were later identified as 29-year-old Brittany Susan Frick and 26-year-old Allison Taylor Pardo. According to WDIV-TV, both women had been living in Kalkaska but both moved recently.

Both women have been charged with misdemeanor larceny between $20 and $1,000. Both of them were arraigned earlier this week.
