Michigan Teen Wins Lottery, Gives Most of it to His Parents
He's asked to remain anonymous, but he did talk to the lottery officials about his plans.
A 19-year-old from Ingham County won $500,000 in an instant lottery game, and although he didn't want to be named, he told lottery officials what he planned on doing with the money:
He's going to invest $5,000...and give the rest to his parents. He says, in a lottery bureau release, that they've done "so much for my sister and me," and that this would take a "huge weight off their shoulders."
He bought the last Golden Wild Time ticket at a Sunoco in Wheatfield Township and scratched it off in-store.
