The group has done several projects for Habitat for Humanity in the past.

The high school roofers from Carrollton Township in Saginaw County showed up at Penny Hopper's house yesterday. Penny is a disabled senior, and said that she was "humbled" by the work they did on her roof.

Instructor Bill Dalton told WNEM, "It's great, our kids have always been fantastic when it comes to working hard, we've done a lot of homes for habitat quite a while ago and they'd come on weekends just to get the project done and we've got the same group coming now."

The superintendent of the district said that, because so many kids are choosing to go to college, skilled trades are suffering. He hopes that this will help more kids go into skilled trades in the future.
