The vote came through the chamber in a 22-13 vote yesterday.

Michigan local governments can no longer ban any breeds of dogs that are perceived as "aggressive."

About 30 different municipalities in Michigan have breed-specific ordinances. Dog owners say that this violates their rights, and that targeting certain breeds doesn't prevent injuries from dogs. And a 2014 report from the American Veterinary Medical Association states that pit bulls are not dangerous, by breed.

The bill will now head to the House. What do you think of this? I'm a big believer that there are no bad breeds; just bad owners. Thoughts?
