Michigan Pharmacist Delivers Medications on a Snowmobile – The Good News
Does she get hazard pay for this? Because she should.
Andrea Cusack is a pharmacist in Lake Odessa, just east of Grand Rapids. Home delivery is a service that they already offer, but a lot of her patients couldn't make it out in the snowstorm to get their meds.
So, on Tuesday night, Andrea and her teenage son gassed up their snowmobile and made house calls for people who were snowed in. She said that medications like blood pressure and diabetes medications should NEVER be missed, and she wanted to make sure that her patients were taken care of.
And her teenage son, who came with to help, LOVED it.
Andrea told FOX 17, “I can’t believe it. I truly care about people. I want to help them and to see the response around the community is overwhelming.”
