A Fowlerville man has been arrested after pointing a gun at another motorist on I-96 near U.S 23.

The Livingston County Sheriff's office reports that a woman called 911 about 7:45 am Tuesday morning, and said that a man in an SUV had pointed the gun at her. The sheriff's office tracked down the vehicle, and arrested a 34-year-old Fowlerville man, whose identity has not yet been released.

On Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at approximately 0745 hours, the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the area of eastbound I-96 from M-59 for a road rage complaint involving a handgun.  A woman called 911 stating that a white male in a SUV had pointed a handgun at her while traveling on I-96. The caller, a 32-year-old woman from the Fowlerville area, was directed to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office to file a report while other deputies looked for the suspect. The suspect in the SUV was located east bound on I-96 near US 23 and ultimately stopped. After preliminary investigation, the suspect in the SUV, a 34-year-old man from the Fowlerville area, was lodged at the Livingston County Jail without further incident. Deputies located a handgun in the vehicle matching the description provided by the 911 caller.  The incident will be reviewed to the Livingston County Prosecutor’s Office for possible charges.
