What's the new pub opening on Mackinac Island?
A new Irish Pub named Patrick Doud's is opening this spring on Mackinac Island's Main Street. According to their facebook post, the menu is being worked out and renovations of their new, historical location are underway. MLive reports the owners are relatives of the late Patrick Doud, too.

What was originally in place of the new Patrick Doud's Irish Pub on Michigan's Mackinac Island?
The new owners are very proud of Patrick Doud's Irish Pub and plan to celebrate the history inside the building once renovations are complete. In fact, they're already sharing some of that history, now.
In the early 1900s Patrick Doud replaced Bogan's Drug Store with the building being renovated, today. Take a look back in time:
Technically, there are businesses open year-round on the island. They have a whole page dedicated to opening dates for businesses/tourist visits, etc. Most are late April through October.
