What a lovely thing to do for kids in the hospital over the holidays.

Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak is bringing back their Moonbeams for Sweet Dreams program for the third year in a row.

People gather outside the pediatric wing of the hospital every night in December through Christmas and shine flashlights up at the kids, who then shine flashlights from their floor back down.

It happens every night at 8 PM.

The hospital does request that you sign up beforehand so that they can regulate traffic, which you can do by clicking HERE.

Royal Oak resident Wendy Lemon says that, as the parent of a child who's been in the hospital during Christmas, "we love shining hope through our flashlights from the other side of the glass.”
