Thank you for your service.
Member of the Huron Manistee National Forest, based in Cadillac, are halfway across the world right now to assist in battling the fires in Australia. It's part of an aid partnership between the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
One of them is Brian Stearns from Oscoda, and the U.S. Forest Service Huron-Manistee NFs posted a pic of him, saving a baby joey from the fires on their Facebook page.
In case you missed it, American firefighters have been welcomed with open arms in Australia. Yesterday, they were greeted at the airport in Sydney with cheers.
Love seeing the world come together.
