
Hayride Turns Deadly in Michigan Over the Weekend
There are so many ways to celebrate fall in Michigan. Some people love scary haunted houses and spooky corn mazes, while others prefer calmer activities like a trip to a cider mill or a hayride. Unfortunately, a Michigan hayride over the weekend was anything but calm.
Fall Fun Turns Fatal in Kimball Township
Just before 7:30 p.m. Saturday (October 13, 2025), St. Clair County Police responded to a tragic car crash involving a tractor pulling passengers on a hayride in Kimball Township.

Investigators say a 79-year-old man was driving the tractor when a 44-year-old man in a Buick Regal slammed into the back of it.
Emergency Response at the Scene
An 85-year-old woman died from her injuries, and several others were hurt. Emergency response teams from Tri-Hospital EMS and the Kimball Township Fire Department treated all victims at the scene before transporting them to local hospitals.

Emergency Response at the Scene
Police continue to investigate the crash. Early reports indicate the tractor may not have had proper rear lights or a slow-moving vehicle emblem, which could have contributed to the accident.
With harvest season in full swing, authorities remind residents to use caution with farm equipment on public roadways.
