Michigan Family Asks for Help with Dog’s Medical Bills After Being Impaled
The poor dog was impaled by a stick and has racked up over $10,000 in medical bills.
Max is a 7-year-old Doberman Pinscher and is well loved by the McInnis family from Beaverton, Michigan. They were recently out on a walk in the woods when Max ran off. The family looked for him for an hour and, when they found him, he was in bad shape. Covered in mud and beaten up, they took him to the vet where they found out that he had been impaled by a stick.
He was transferred to Michigan State University's small animal hospital where he underwent four surgeries - they had to remove part of his liver and open up his chest AND abdominal cavities.
The family has set up a GoFundMe to help with their costs. So far, they've raised almost $4,000. If you're an animal lover and would like to help, click HERE.
