
Michigan Boy Breaks Into Homes, Steals Gun, Threatens Man
A 13-year-old Michigan teen has been arrested and is facing several charges after breaking into homes, stealing firearms and threatening a man.
Police Were Looking For The Teen Suspect Prior to Attack on Michigan Man
Local police reported that they were already searching for a boy who had been reported as a runaway on Sunday afternoon. Sheriff's deputies were already dispatched and out searching for the missing teen when a call came in at 5:20 P.M. about a home invasion nearby.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office responded to the break-in at a home in the 7100 block of Twin Canyon Drive in Bedford Township.
What Did The 13-Year-Old Do when he Broke In?
According to reports from investigators, the teen broke into a home on Brookside Drive which is where he stole the gun. Reports indicate that no one was home at that residence during the home invasion and no one was hurt.

The suspect then broke into a woodshed within the second residence. The victim reported that the 13-year-old threatened him with the firearm and also was swinging a hammer at him.
How was the Teen Apprehended?
Reports indicate that there was a struggle between the teen suspect and the victim. However the resident overpowered the suspect and was able to restrain the boy until police arrived.

The unidentified teen is currently at the Monroe County Youth Center. Although the investigation continues, the suspect is facing home invasion, breaking & entering, and felonious assault charges.
