Meijer Stores Will Install Drug Take-Back Kiosks for Unused Meds
It's part of the store chain's new Consumer Drug Take-Back Program.
Meijer stores throughout Michigan and across the country are in the process of installing kiosks that will allow customers to return unused, unwanted or expired medications.
The Vice President of Meijer, Jason Beauch, said in a press release that the company wants to help eliminate the risk of an "unforeseen accident occurring with expired or unused medications."
The kiosks will be available inside their store locations and will be able to safely dispose of medications including opioids, over-the-counter meds and controlled substances. Kiosks will be open and available during regular pharmacy hours.
